Ricardo F. Icaza, President

UFCW LOCAL 770 represents workers in the retail food, meat, drug stores, packinghouses, food processing plants, pharmacies, laboratories, as well as barbers and beauticians.

Originally chartered by the Retail Clerks Association, Local 770 has been representing the interests of retail workers in Los Angeles County for 60 years and has grown from a modest 200 individuals to a 29,000 member organization.

Led by President Ricardo Icaza, a 770 member since 1956, the Local has earned a reputation in Southern California for its contract negotiations, contract enforcement, grievance procedures and exceptional health care and pension benefits.

This web site was developed to educate and inform members and the general public about current issues affecting our Local and the labor movement in general. The site contains information about current organizing efforts, copies of our most recent publications, calendar of events and other Local 770 news.
