Adopted Store - Ralphs in Monterey Park

CES' organizer Joel Montano. Community Education for Social Action (CESA), a community group in the Greater East Los Angeles area, with 17 members & community allies conducted an action on Monday August 29, 2011 to deliver a student resolution in support of the grocery workers at its adopted store Ralphs in Monterey Park (2230 S Atlantic Blvd).

The action began with the group entering the store with several signs and chanting ‘The Workers United! Will Never be Defeated!’ marching around the store to inform customers about the potential strike and show the workers that the community stands with them in solidarity in their current struggle.

CESA communicated with Management and delivered a student resolution in support of the grocery workers signed by Cal State LA & USC students.

CESA will continue to support the Grocery Workers and join them in the picket lines if the strike is to take place.
