KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

Your Rights are Protected by Federal Law!

Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act states:

"Employees shall have the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining…and shall have the right to refrain from any or all such activities."

IT IS YOUR LEGAL RIGHT TO:

                            · FILL OUT A UNION CARD
                            · TALK TO YOUR CO-WORKERS ABOUT THE UNION
                            · (AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T INTERFERE WITH PATIENT CARE)
                            · ATTEND MEETINGS ABOUT THE UNION
                            · PASS OUT LITERATURE ABOUT THE UNION

THE FOLLOWING ACTS WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF THE FEDERAL LABOR LAW

Ø    Retaliate against you or your co-workers in anyway for organizing your Union.

Ø    Say that existing employee benefits will be discontinued if the facility is Unionized.

Ø    Promise promotions, raises or offer benefits if employees refrain from forming a Union.

Ø    Ask employees about Union activities.

Ø    Spy on your Union activities.

Ø    Say Unionization will force the facility to lay off employees.

Ø    Threaten or coerce employees directly or through a third party.
