
1. UFCW International Scholarship: Each year the UFCW International Union awards several scholarships of up to $8,000 each to UFCW members or their dependents. Click here for more information
2. Union Plus Scholarship: Union members and their children are eligible for $500 - $4,000 scholarships for college graduate and undergraduate programs. 3. UFCW Unions and Food Employers Benefit Fund Scholarship Program. Each year (usually April 30), the Benefit Fund awards approximately 300 winners of awards made at three levels: &10,000, $5,000, $2,500. Applications are available in December of each year and all associated documentation must be post marked (usually February of each year) in order to be considered for a Scholarship Award for the following academic year. 4. UFCW Local 770 and Dental Health Association Scholarship Program. Each year (usually June), the Scholarship Committee awards approximately 25 winners to share in $40,000, for college graduate and undergraduate programs. Applications are available in December of each year, with a request form in the December issue of the Voice of 770. All application request must be postmarked by March 1st of each year, all associated documentation must be post marked by March 31st of each year in order to be considered for a Scholarship Award for the following academic year.
5. UFCW Local 770 Joseph T. DeSilva Scholarship Program. This program is open to students attending USC and is funded by a grant from the late founder of Local 770 Joseph T. DeSilva and from memorial gifts made in his name. Each year (usually June), the Scholarship Committee awards approximately 10 winners to share approximately $20,000, for college graduate and undergraduate programs. Applications are available in December , with a request form in the December issue of the Voice of 770. All application request must be postmarked by March 1st of each year, all associated documentation must be post marked by March 31st of each year in order to be considered for a Scholarship Award for the following academic year.
6. United Food & Commercial Workers Unions and Food Employers Benefit Fund Tuition Assistance Program. For those who may be able to attend school only part-time, or who may not qualify for the Scholarship Award, the Fund offers the Tuition Assistance Program. Information about this program is also included in the Summary Plan Description. Forms are available from your Union office or the Fund Office.
