Who We Are & Our Stance
UFCW Local 770 represents nearly 30,000 workers across Southern California in grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare facilities, cannabis dispensaries, and meatpacking plants. We are in solidarity with all workers, their families, and peaceful protesters facing unjust targeting by ICE and militarized federal forces.
UFCW 770 is committed to advocating for the rights of all our members, whether they work in grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare, cannabis, or packing houses. Every worker deserves dignity, safety, and respect under the law.
The Threat to Workers’ Rights
Recent raids in workplaces and public spaces across Los Angeles and beyond have put our members at risk, not just at risk of deportation, but of having their constitutional rights violated.
What’s happening in our cities is not about public safety. The use of excessive force, including the National Guard and local law enforcement against peaceful protests, is about intimidation, control, and silencing dissent.
Legal Protections for All Workers
Every union member, regardless of immigration status, has federally protected labor rights: the right to organize, the right to demand fair wages, and the right to work in safe conditions.
The Constitution guarantees due process and equal protection to every person in the United States. Raids without warrants or probable cause violate these rights and the Constitution.
Our Call to Action
We join our elected officials who are calling for the withdrawal of the National Guard from Los Angeles and a stop to these attacks on workers and families. No one should have to fear being torn from their job or their home.
UFCW 770 supports peaceful protest and free speech. We urge members who decide to participate in demonstrations to do so safely and lawfully.

La unión UFCW Local 770 representa a alrededor de 30,000 trabajadores del sur de California en supermercados, farmacias, clínicas y hospitales, dispensarios de cannabis y empaques de comida. Nos solidarizamos con todos los trabajadores, sus familias y todas las personas que se están manifestando de manera pacífica para protestar por los ataques injustos por parte de ICE y las fuerzas federales militarizadas.
Mi sindicato UFCW 770 se compromete a defender los derechos de todos sus miembros, ya sea que trabajen en supermercados, farmacias, centros de salud, cannabis o plantas empacadoras. Todo trabajador merece dignidad, seguridad y respeto ante la ley.
Amenaza a los derechos de los trabajadores
Las recientes redadas en lugares de trabajo y espacios públicos en Los Ángeles y otros lugares han puesto a nuestros miembros en riesgo, no solo de una deportación, sino de que se violen sus derechos constitucionales.
Lo que está pasando en nuestras ciudades no es sobre seguridad pública. El uso excesivo de la fuerza, incluyendo la Guardia Nacional y las fuerzas del orden locales, contra protestas pacíficas se basa en la intimidación, el control y callar a los que no están de acuerdo.
Protecciones legales para todos los trabajadores
Todo miembro de un sindicato, independientemente de su estatus migratorio, tiene derechos laborales protegidos por el gobierno federal: el derecho a organizarse, el derecho a exigir salarios justos y el derecho a trabajar en condiciones seguras.
La Constitución garantiza el debido proceso y la igualdad de protección para todas las personas en Estados Unidos. Las redadas sin orden judicial ni causa probable violan estos derechos y la Constitución.
Nuestro llamado a la acción
Nos unimos a nuestros funcionarios electos que exigen la salida de la Guardia Nacional de Los Ángeles y el cese de estos ataques contra los trabajadores y sus familias. Nadie debería temer ser sacado de su trabajo o de su casa.
UFCW 770 apoya la protesta pacífica y la libertad de expresión. Instamos a los miembros que decidan participar en manifestaciones a que lo hagan de forma segura y siguiendo las leyes.
