Agreement delivers higher wages for ALL, and improvements in pension, healthcare, and staffing
We’re excited to announce that after today’s bargaining session, we reached a tentative agreement with Gelson's!
This new three-year contract delivers higher wages for ALL of us, including those at the top rate and those in the progression steps. We also won improvements to our pension, healthcare, staffing, and more that we deserve. But nothing is final until we all have the chance to review the details and cast our vote.
This victory was only possible because of our hard work and solidarity with our co-workers, our customers, and our union siblings at Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions, and Stater Bros. Every pledge card and petition we signed, button we wore, social media post we shared, delegation we joined, customer we engaged, and action we attended helped get us to this point. Our victory sends a powerful message to workers everywhere – when we band together in solidarity, we win.
Our fight isn’t over though. Our fellow members at El Super are also still without contracts, and our pharmacist siblings at Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions are gearing up for their contract fight next year. Their support helped us get this win, it’s our turn to support them now.
Remember, this is a tentative agreement. It’s not final until you vote to accept it.

VICTORIA: ¡Hemos Llegado a un Acuerdo Tentativo de nuestro Contrato con Gelson’s!
El acuerdo incluye sueldos más altos para TODOS, mejoras a la pensión, seguro médico y personal
¡Estamos contentos de anunciar que después de la sesión de negociaciones de hoy, hemos llegado a un acuerdo tentativo con Gelson’s!
Este nuevo contrato de tres años incluye sueldos más altos para TODOS nosotros, incluyendo quienes están en el pago tope y quienes están en los pasos de progresión. También logramos mejoras a nuestra pensión, cobertura médica y personal, y mucho más, que merecemos. Pero nada es definitivo hasta que todos tengamos la oportunidad de revisar los detalles y dar nuestro voto.
Esta victoria sólo fue posible por la solidaridad de nuestros compañeros de trabajo, nuestros clientes y nuestros compañeros de Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions y Stater Bros. Cada una de las tarjetas de compromiso y peticiones que firmamos, botones que nos pusimos, publicaciones en redes sociales que compartimos, delegaciones en las que participamos, clientes con los que hablamos y acciones a las que fuimos, nos ayudaron a llegar a este punto. Nuestra victoria manda un poderoso mensaje a los trabajadores en todas partes – cuando nos unimos en solidaridad, ganamos.
Pero nuestra lucha no ha terminado. Nuestros compañeros de El Super todavía siguen sin su contrato y nuestros compañeros farmacéuticos de Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons y Pavilions se están preparando para su contrato el próximo año. Su apoyo nos ayudó a lograr esta victoria, ahora nos toca a nosotros apoyarlos a ellos.
Recuerda, este es un acuerdo tentativo. No es definitivo hasta que votes para aceptarlo.
Tendrás la oportunidad de revisar el acuerdo y hacer preguntas antes de dar tu voto. Participa en una de las juntas por Zoom el Domingo, 17 de Agosto a las 7pm o el Lunes, 18 de Agosto a las 9am para escuchar los detalles antes de que votemos el Martes, 19 de Agosto y el Miércoles, 20 de Agosto.
