Breaking Alert: We’ve Reached a Tentative Agreement on our CVS Contract
We have reached a tentative agreement with CVS! For the last five months, we have been fighting hard for a fair contract – from a strike to actions, delegations, rallies, petitions, and conversations with our co-workers and customers, we have shown the strength that comes when workers stand together for a better life.
Our strength was on display this past weekend as CVS workers from seven stores in Los Angeles and Orange County participated in an Unfair Labor Practice strike to protest CVS' unlawful activities. Striking workers received support from customers and expressed their determination to secure a contract that reflects the value of our essential healthcare services free from CVS’ underhanded tactics.
Not one union member crossed the line this weekend! And because we unequivocally showed solidarity and strength, the company got the message and addressed our concerns today.
After months of intense bargaining, and lots of late nights, and a three-day strike, the company moved significantly and we have finally secured a tentative agreement that we want to share with you. This agreement delivers better wages, more secure staffing, and a more affordable healthcare plan for our B stores, but nothing is final until all members can review the offer and vote on it.
This tentative agreement would not have been possible without the strength we showed during the bargaining process. We stood up to the company’s unfair labor practices and showed them we were willing to fight for the contract we deserved. The power we showed at our stores translated to power at the bargaining table. Our solidarity and this victory will send a strong message to workers everywhere – when we fight, we win!

¡Hemos logrado un acuerdo tentativo con CVS! En los últimos cinco meses hemos estado luchando fuerte por un contrato justo –desde acciones de huelga, delegaciones, manifestaciones, peticiones y conversaciones con nuestros compañeros de trabajo y clientes, hemos demostrado nuestra fortaleza que surge cuando los trabajadores luchan unidos por una mejor vida.
Fue nuestra fuerza en acción este fin de semana, donde los trabajadores de CVS de siete tiendas en Los Ángeles y Condado de Orange participaron en una huelga por Prácticas Laborales Injustas para protestar contra las actividades ilegales de CVS. Los empleados en huelga recibieron el apoyo de los clientes y expresaron su determinación de asegurar un contrato que refleje el valor de nuestros servicios de salud esenciales libre de las tácticas deshonestas de CVS.
¡Ningún miembro de la unión cruzó la línea de huelga este fin de semana! Y porque nosotros mostramos nuestra solidaridad y fuerza, la compañía escuchó el mensaje y hoy abordó nuestras preocupaciones.
Después de meses de intensas negociaciones y bastantes sesiones que se prolongaron en la noche, finalmente hemos asegurado un acuerdo tentativo que queremos compartir contigo. Creemos que este acuerdo cubre nuestras necesidades y nos da los sueldos y un plan médico más accesible para nuestras tiendas B que merecemos pero nada es final hasta que tengamos la oportunidad de revisarlo y tener una votación.
Este acuerdo tentativo no hubiera sido posible sin la fuerza que demostramos durante el proceso de negociaciones. Nosotros nos opusimos a las prácticas laborales injustas de la compañía y les demostramos que estábamos dispuestos a luchar por el contrato que merecemos.
Nuestra solidaridad y victoria manda un claro mensaje a los trabajadores en todas partes –cuando luchamos, ganamos.
