Our KP Contract Fight Is About More Than Wages

National Bargaining Update
Yesterday was the final scheduled day of national bargaining with Kaiser in San Diego. Instead of continuing negotiations, Kaiser chose to pause bargaining. We have made it clear that this refusal to bargain is an unfair labor practice.

Key points from the table:

  • Kaiser paused negotiations rather than move forward on key issues

  • This dispute is about more than wages, despite Kaiser’s messaging

  • Over 25 local contracts remain open with critical unresolved issues

  • National issues remain unresolved, including contract alignment, equity funding, staffing levels, a fair PSP, retroactive wage increases, and caregiver voice in patient care

Take a few minutes to watch the Alliance video update to hear the full context of what happened at the table this week.
