Breaking Alert: We’ve Reached a Tentative Agreement on our Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions Contracts
Agreement addresses priorities – higher wages, more money for pension contributions, additional health and welfare improvements, staffing and more
After five months of hard work and determination, we’re excited to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with Kroger and Albertsons! From rallies, marches, petitions, and wearing buttons to one-on-one conversations with our co-workers and customers, our strength has been on full display. We’ve shown that when workers come together and rise up, we can fight for a better future for ourselves and our co-workers.
Following an intense 40 plus hour bargaining session that began on Friday morning, we’ve secured an agreement that addresses our priorities, which we want to share with you. It includes the higher wages, more money for pension contributions, additional health and welfare improvements, staffing and more we deserve as the backbone of these companies. But remember – nothing is final until we all have the chance to review the details and cast our vote.
This victory wouldn’t have been possible without the power of our collective action. We stood strong against the companies’ disrespect and made it clear that we were ready to fight for the contract we deserve.
Our solidarity and victory here sends a message to workers everywhere – when we fight together, we win.

Remember, this is a tentative agreement. It is not final until you vote to accept it.

Después de cinco meses de duro trabajo y determinación, nos emociona anunciar que ¡Hemos logrado un acuerdo tentativo con Kroger y Albertsons! Desde manifestaciones, marchas, peticiones y ponerse los botones de la campaña hasta tener conversaciones de persona a persona con nuestros compañeros de trabajo y clientes, nuestra fuerza ha quedado plenamente demostrada. Hemos demostrado que cuando los trabajadores se unen y luchan, podemos lograr un mejor futuro para nosotros y para nuestros compañeros de trabajo.
Después de una intensa sesión de negociaciones de más de 40 horas que comenzó el viernes por la mañana, hemos asegurado un acuerdo que atiende nuestras prioridades, que queremos compartir contigo. Éste incluye los sueldos más altos, más dinero para contribuciones de pensión, mejoras adicionales en beneficios de salud y bienestar, personal y más logros que merecemos como la columna vertebral de estas compañías. Pero recuerda, nada es final hasta que todos tengamos la oportunidad de revisar los detalles y emitir nuestro voto.
Esta victoria no hubiera sido posible sin el poder de nuestra acción colectiva. Nos mantuvimos fuertes en contra de la falta de respeto de las compañías y dejamos claro que estábamos listos para luchar por el contrato que merecemos.
Nuestra solidaridad y victoria mandan un claro mensaje a los trabajadores en todos lados: ¡Cuando luchamos unidos, ganamos!
