Progress at the Kaiser Kern Main Bargaining Table

Local 770 and KP Find Common Ground as Talks Continue Toward a Fair Contract for Kern Main Members

Kaiser Bargaining for the Kern Main contract continued with two full sessions on May 21st and 22nd. We reached our first two tentative agreements related to contract language clean up to make it easier to read and more inclusive.

We submitted written proposals for the company to consider related to transfer periods, seniority, bereavement time, and life balance days. We asked to change bargaining half day sessions to full day. KP management agreed to the change. We also identified mutual interest in advanced hiring language.

Local 770 and the Alliance of Healthcare Unions will continue to escalate our campaign to win a contract that reflects our members’ values and needs.

We meet with KP again on June 16, 2025 to continue bargaining the Kern Main contract.
