Red Shell’s New Management Isn’t Serious, so It’s Time to Take a Strike Vote

We’ve been bargaining with Red Shell on a new contract since October 2025, and today was our first negotiation session with the new management. Over the past two days, we’ve told Red Shell’s new bargainers that we have all shown our dedication to the company, and now it’s time for Red Shell to honor our commitment.
They responded with proposals to take away the things we have earned in our contract — like Sunday pay and holiday pay. What’s worse is that they’re not offering any retroactive pay for the 15 months we’ve been working without a contract, and they’re only offering .25 cents additional per hour each year in wage increases.
Some progress has been made at the table, but we’re still so far apart on key issues. We’ve scheduled one more bargaining date on July 2, 2026, and are hopeful the company will come ready to bargain the contract we deserve.
After the next bargaining date, we will bring the company’s offer to the members for a vote. There you will have the option to accept the offer or reject it and authorize a strike.
It’s time we show Red Shell that we are willing to fight for the fair contract we deserve!

La nueva gerencia de Red Shell no está tomando las cosas en serio; es hora de votar sobre una huelga
Llevamos negociando un nuevo contrato con Red Shell desde octubre de 2025, y hoy hemos tenido nuestra primera sesión de negociación con la nueva gerencia. En los últimos dos días, hemos dejado saber a los nuevos negociadores de Red Shell que todos hemos demostrado nuestro compromiso y dedicación con la empresa y que ahora es el momento de que Red Shell corresponda de la misma manera.
Su respuesta fue proponer eliminar beneficios que hemos logrado en contratos previos, como el pago adicional por trabajar los domingos y los días festivos.
