Stater Bros. Update: We’re Taking An Unfair Labor Practice Strike Vote!

Two months ago, Stater Bros. refused to negotiate with us until we reached a deal with Ralphs and Albertsons. Last week our fellow union members at Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions overwhelmingly voted yes to ratify a new contract that includes higher wages, improved pension, health and welfare improvements, staffing, and other improvements they deserve as the backbone of these companies.
Stater Bros., it’s now your turn.
We’re returning to the bargaining table on July 30 and 31. Since March, we’ve pushed Stater Bros. for real solutions to short staffing, unsafe conditions, and unfair wages, but all we’ve seen is disrespect and frivolous bargaining sessions. And while we’ve been fighting to reach a deal, they’ve been breaking the law, unlawfully surveilling members who have been active in the contract campaign, discriminating against members who support the union, interrogating members and bypassing the union’s bargaining committee and making proposals directly to members.
That’s why we’re scheduling unfair labor practice strike authorization votes next week.
The ULP Strike Vote will be held on Thursday and Friday July 24 and 25. Stay tuned for voting details coming soon.

We’ve never had to take an Unfair Labor Practice strike vote at Stater Bros., but the company has changed. By violating our rights, Stater Bros. is making our fight for our futures, our families, and our communities harder. That’s why we need EVERY SINGLE UNION MEMBER to come out and vote YES during the Unfair Labor Practice Strike vote. ¡Vamos a Votar para Autorizar una Huelga por Prácticas Laborales Injustas!
Entérate qué sigue en nuestra lucha por un contrato justo con Stater Bros.
Hace dos meses, Stater Bros. se negó a negociar con nosotros hasta que lográramos un trato con Ralphs y Albertsons. La semana pasada nuestros compañeros de Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons y Pavilions contundentemente votaron “si” para ratificar un nuevo contrato que incluye sueldos más altos, una pensión mejorada, mejoras a los beneficios de salud y bienestar, personal y otras mejoras que ellos merecen como la columna vertebral de estas compañías.
Stater Bros., ahora es tu turno.
Regresaremos a la mesa de negociaciones los días 30 y 31 de Julio.
Desde marzo, hemos presionado a Stater Bros. para que dé soluciones reales a la falta de suficiente personal, condiciones inseguras y sueldos injustos, pero todo lo que hemos visto es falta de respeto y sesiones de negociación superfluas. Y mientras hemos estado luchando por lograr un acuerdo, ellos han estado quebrando la ley, ilícitamente vigilando a miembros que han estado activos en la campaña de contrato, discriminando en contra de miembros que apoyan a la unión, interrogando a miembros, saltándose al comité de negociaciones de la unión y haciendo propuestas directamente a los miembros.
Es por eso que estamos programando una votación de autorización de huelga por prácticas laborales injustas la próxima semana.
El Voto de Huelga por ULPs será el Jueves y Viernes, 24 y 25 de Julio. Mantente al pendiente para conocer los detalles de la votación que serán dados a conocer muy pronto.
