Kaiser Pharmacy Bargaining Update

News| July 18, 2025

Kaiser needs to stop dragging their feet and address our issues

We’ve been bargaining our new contract now for three months. Today, like all days, we came prepared. We presented 6 proposals (not new issues, interests we’ve been discussing from day one) relating to vacation, corrective action, longevity pay, reimbursement for the cost of certification and licensure renewal, and a 24-hour guarantee. We got no response.

After three months, they should be able to respond to something during our session.

Even worse, rather than addressing the serious concerns we have raised about staffing, Kaiser is proposing to use more on-call help and non-union temporary agency workers. We need to make it clear to Kaiser that these are not the solutions to their failure to hire sufficient staff to serve our patients.

We will return to the bargaining table with Kaiser on July 28, 2025, to continue discussing our pharmacy contract. Meanwhile, wear your gold shirts and take photos with our campaign signs!
