Bargaining Update| April 21, 2025
We deserve more!
Today we met with Stater Bros. for our sixth day of bargaining, where they spent the day rejecting several of our proposals on common sense workplace protections. Our proposals included protections for workers impacted by the use of new technology in the stores and protections for immigrant workers. They also continued to question our proposal for Special Project Union Representative (SPUR) leave.
This morning we gave Stater Bros. a counter offer on our wage proposal and we expressed that they need to come back to the table with an offer that includes everyone, not just the people at the top wage rate. At the end of the day they responded with another insulting offer. While they finally added the meatcutters to the proposal, their proposal is still only $1 each year for those at the top rate of pay. Nothing for those who aren’t at the top rate of pay, nothing for department heads, nothing for those in the progressions and nothing for courtesy clerks.
It’s clear that Stater Bros. isn’t going to move on the issues we care about until they know we’re ready and willing to do what it takes to get the contract we deserve.Continue to wear your buttons! This act of solidarity shows Stater Bros. that we’re all united. When we stand together, we have more power at the table to negotiate for the contract we deserve.
We’re waiting for Stater Bros. to provide future bargaining dates. In the meantime, we will continue to escalate our campaign with more actions and more ways you can get involved, including engaging with our customers in front of our stores. OTRA PROPUESTA SALARIAL INSULTANTE DE STATER BROS.

Hoy nos reunimos con Stater Bros. para nuestro sexto día de negociaciones, donde pasaron el día rechazando varias de nuestras propuestas sobre protecciones laborales de sentido común. Nuestras propuestas incluían protecciones para trabajadores afectados por el uso de nuevas tecnologías en las tiendas y protecciones para trabajadores inmigrantes. También continuaron cuestionando nuestra propuesta para el permiso de Representantes Especiales de Proyecto Sindical (SPUR).
Esta mañana le presentamos a Stater Bros. una contraoferta sobre nuestra propuesta salarial y expresamos que deben regresar a la mesa con una oferta que incluya a todos, no solo a quienes están en la tarifa salarial más alta. Al final del día, respondieron con otra oferta insultante. Aunque finalmente incluyeron a los carniceros en la propuesta, su oferta sigue siendo solo de $1 por año para quienes están en la tarifa más alta. Nada para quienes no están en la tarifa más alta, nada para jefes de departamento, nada para quienes están en progresiones y nada para los asistentes de cortesía.
Está claro que Stater Bros. no va a ceder en los temas que nos importan hasta que sepan que estamos listos y dispuestos a hacer lo que sea necesario para obtener el contrato que merecemos. ¡Sigan usando sus botones! Este acto de solidaridad le muestra a Stater Bros. que estamos unidos. Cuando nos unimos, tenemos más poder en la mesa para negociar el contrato que merecemos.
Estamos esperando que Stater Bros. nos proporcione nuevas fechas de negociación. Mientras tanto, continuaremos intensificando nuestra campaña con más acciones y más formas en las que pueden involucrarse, incluyendo interactuar con nuestros clientes frente a las tiendas.
