We’ve Reached a Tentative Agreement on our Red Shell Contract!

Agreement includes higher wages as well as many other improvements
After months of hard work and determination, we’re excited to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement with Red Shell! By signing petitions and staying involved in bargaining, we’ve shown that when workers come together and rise up, we can fight for a better future for ourselves and our co-workers.
The agreement we’ve secured addresses our priorities, including higher wages, pension improvements, health and welfare improvements, classifying all current employees as sushi chefs, and more. But remember – nothing is final until we all have the chance to review the details and cast our vote.
This victory wouldn’t have been possible without the power of our collective action. Despite the company entering negotiations claiming that they needed significant cuts to our wages and benefits, we stood strong and made it clear that we were ready to fight for the contract we deserve.
Next Steps
Remember, this is a tentative agreement. It is not final until you vote to accept it.You will have the opportunity to review the deal and have your questions addressed before casting your vote. Union representatives will be coming to each of your stores to have you vote on the tentative agreement. Please look out for more updates on timing from your local union.

¡Hemos logrado un acuerdo provisional para nuestro contrato en Red Shell!
El acuerdo incluye salarios más altos y muchas otras mejorias.
Tras meses de arduo trabajo y determinación, ¡nos complace anunciar que hemos llegado a un acuerdo provisional con Red Shell! Al firmar peticiones y mantenernos involucrados en la negociación, hemos demostrado que cuando los trabajadores nos unimos y alzamos la voz, podemos luchar por un futuro mejor para nosotros y para nuestros compañeros.
El acuerdo que hemos conseguido aborda nuestras prioridades, incluyendo salarios más altos, mejorias en las pensiones y en los beneficios de salud y bienestar, la clasificación de todos los empleados actuales como chefs de sushi, y más. Pero recuerden: nada es definitivo hasta que todos tengamos la oportunidad de revisar los detalles y emitir nuestro voto.
Esta victoria no habría sido posible sin la fuerza de nuestra acción colectiva. A pesar de que la empresa inició las negociaciones alegando que necesitaba recortar significativamente nuestros salarios y beneficios, nos mantuvimos firmes y dejamos claro que estábamos listos para luchar por el contrato que merecemos.
