Stater Bros.: ULP Strike Authorization Overwhelmingly Passes!

We’ve had enough of Stater Bros.’ union-busting tactics and illegal actions that undermine workers
We have spoken loud and clear.
This week, 12,000 Stater Bros. workers across Southern California came together and overwhelmingly voted YES to authorize an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike against Stater Bros. for breaking the law by surveilling, interrogating, and discriminating against union members.
This vote sends a strong message to Stater Bros.: We’ve had enough of their union-busting tactics that undermine workers and silence our voices. And if they thought Stater Bros.’ members could be scared away from standing up for our rights, they found out tonight that they are very, very wrong.
What does this mean?
This vote prepares all of us to take action if Stater Bros. continues to commit unfair labor practices that undermine our rights. It does not mean we are on an Unfair Labor Practice strike right now. If you walk off the job before the union declares a strike, you can be disciplined and/or fired. Remember, you will always be the first to know when we take action.
What’s next?
An Unfair Labor Practice strike is always a last resort, and we will continue to push Stater Bros. to do the right thing. We’re scheduled to go back to the bargaining table on July 30 and 31, where we are demanding that the company stop breaking the law, and negotiate a contract that respects the work we do. We are fed up with being overworked, disrespected, and undervalued.

Ya basta de las tácticas anti-Unión y acciones ilícitas de Stater Bros. que atacan a los trabajadores
Hemos hablado fuerte y claro.
Esta semana, 12,000 trabajadores de Stater Bros. en todo el Sur de California se unieron y rotundamente votaron SÍ para autorizar una huelga por Prácticas Laborales Injustas (ULPs) en contra de Stater Bros. por violar la ley al vigilar, interrogar y discriminar en contra de miembros de la unión.
Este voto manda un fuerte mensaje a Stater Bros.: Estamos cansados de sus tácticas anti-unión que atacan a los trabajadores y acallan nuestras voces. Y si pensaron que los miembros de Stater Bros. iban a ser intimidados para no luchar por sus derechos, esta noche se dieron cuenta que están muy equivocados.
¿Qué significa esto?
Este voto nos prepara a todos para tomar acción si Stater Bros. sigue cometiendo prácticas laborales injustas que debilitan nuestros derechos. Esto no significa que ahorita ya estamos en una huelga por Prácticas Laborales Injustas. Si sales de tu trabajo antes de que la Unión declare una huelga, puedes ser disciplinado y/o despedido. Recuerda, tú serás el primero en saber cuando sea hora de tomar acción.
¿Qué sigue?
Una huelga por Prácticas Laborales Injustas (ULP) es siempre el último recurso y seguiremos presionando a Stater Bros. a hacer lo correcto. Está programado que regresemos a la mesa de negociaciones el 30 y 31 de Julio, cuando estaremos exigiendo que la compañía deje de violar la ley y negocie un contrato que respete el trabajo que hacemos. Estamos cansados de cumplir con sobrecargas de trabajo, que nos falten al respeto y que no nos valoren.
Mientras tanto, manténte conectado. Manténte listo. Este es nuestro momento. Estamos unidos y listos para hacer lo que se necesite hacer para defender nuestros derechos.
